I am Megan Diveley. I offer doula services, placenta encapsulation, and childbirth preparation classes. My own personal experiences with birth are what led me to want to support women during pregnancy and birth. My first two births took place in a hospital without a support person, where I ultimately wound up receiving medications I did not want, and consenting to interventions I had hoped to avoid. Both births ultimately ended in unnecessary c-sections. For my third birth I opted to deliver in a freestanding birth center with a great support team. The result was an unmedicated VBA2C (vaginal birth after 2 c-sections).
That experience was so profoundly healing it inspired me to become a doula, so that I might help women achieve the birth they desire.
As a doula, I trust women's bodies and the process of birth. I respect both the physical and emotional aspects of labor. I understand that women have complex needs during pregnancy and birth and deserve continuous, individualized care.
A couple of testimonials:
I have attended several births where Megan was the mothers doula. Megan goes above and beyond to ensure the mothers comfort and birth goals are met. She is so kind, gentle, and giving. I loved working with her and I know that my clients loved her as well. If you are looking for a doula with a level head, a peaceful presence, a plethora of knowledge, and a lot of experience you should call her! - Misty Ward, Certified Professional Midwife
Megan went above and beyond what we ever expected of a doula. Being first time parents, we didn't know what to expect, but she gave me the strength and confidence to birth my baby exactly how I wanted to. She was a constant throughout my pregnancy, labor, and postpartum period. All of our babies will be welcomed into the world with Megan. - Brooke Haas
