Privacy Policy

Whole Woman is run by Laura [surname] [ABN if you have one]. I respect your privacy and handle your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and, where they apply, NSW health privacy laws.

Because Body Wisdom involves collecting health information, I treat everything you share with care and only use it for the reason you shared it.

What I collect

• Contact details: your name, email, phone number and location, when you fill in a form, book, buy or join the mailing list.
• Enquiry details: information about your ceremony, workshop or group, including a due date for Mother’s Blessings.
• Health information: for Body Wisdom only, through the application form, the health and lifestyle intake form, and any messages, voice notes or calls during your 6 weeks. This can include personal and family health history, current challenges and goals.
• Payment details: payments are processed by [Stripe / PayPal / WooCommerce Payments]. I never see or store your full card details.
• Website data: my website (built on WordPress and hosted by [hosting provider]) uses cookies and basic analytics, such as pages visited and device type, to understand how the site is used.
• Photos and testimonials: only with your permission.

Why I collect it

• To respond to your enquiry and deliver the service or product you’ve booked or bought.
• For Body Wisdom, to prepare your reading, personalise your guidance, and support you through your 6 weeks.
• To take payments and keep business records.
• To send you the mailing list, if you’ve joined it.
• To improve my website and offerings.

I only collect health information with your consent, which you give when you tick the consent box on the Body Wisdom application form and complete the intake form.

Mailing list

My mailing list runs on Substack. If you join, Substack stores your email address and sends my newsletters. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. Substack’s own privacy policy also applies.

Who I share it with

I never sell or rent your personal information. I only share it:

• with the services I use to run Whole Woman: WordPress and [hosting provider] (website and forms), Substack (mailing list), Google (email and file storage), WhatsApp (messages and voice notes, where you choose to use it) and Zoom (calls), and my payment provider;
• with another practitioner, only if you ask me to;
• where required or allowed by law, or to prevent a serious threat to someone’s life, health or safety.

Storage outside Australia

Some of the services above store data on servers overseas, including in the United States. I choose reputable providers with strong security, but by using my services you acknowledge that your information may be stored outside Australia.

How I keep it safe

Your information is kept in password-protected accounts with two-factor authentication where available. Health information is kept separately from general enquiries and is only accessed by me.

How long I keep it

• Health information (Body Wisdom): kept for 7 years after your last session, as required for health records in NSW, then securely deleted.
• Bookings and payment records: kept for 5 years for tax purposes.
• Enquiries that don’t go ahead: deleted within 12 months.

Children

For workshops involving young people, such as Maiden’s Menarche, I collect information from the parent or guardian, not the child.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, or ask me to correct it, at any time. Email MATHILDE.CHAGNEAUD@GMAIL.COM and I’ll respond within 30 days.

If something goes wrong

If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, I’ll let you know and report it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the law requires.

Questions or complaints

Please contact me first at MATHILDE.CHAGNEAUD@GMAIL.COM, and I’ll do my best to resolve it within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
